InterCity is the perfect way to connect to different attractions and centres around New Zealand. We do this by offering a range of different fare types, tours, and passes to make travel flexible and convenient, making it a great choice for event or conference travel. Plus, the free on-board Wi-Fi makes it easy to send that email or update that presentation.
Our stops are conveniently located in central locations, for example, our Auckland Central stop is opposite the NZICC within the SkyCity complex. There is also an Auckland City to Auckland Airport option, with stops at both the domestic and international terminals. You can bring two bags weighing up to 25kg, plus carry-on luggage.
Individual Tickets
InterCity operates over 100 daily services nationwide on modern vehicles designed for New Zealand conditions. Travelling around New Zealand by bus is easy and economical with multiple departures from all main towns, cities and communities. InterCity offers a range of different fare types. Standard, Flexi, Student, Backpacker, Seniors, Child and Infant rates are all options, each with their own specific terms and conditions.
On selected services you can upgrade your experience with InterCity GOLD seats that provide additional comfort with soft leather, plenty of leg room, and individual USB charging ports.
Day Tours
Our day tours from Auckland are a popular way to experience more of New Zealand. We have tours to popular destinations including Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves, Bay of Islands, and Rotorua. These are perfect for adding on to either side of an event or conference.
Everything is taken care of when you travel on one of our day tours. Entrance fees are included within the tour price and optional extras like lunches can be added if required. Complimentary hotel transfers are provided on most tours and our experienced local driver guides will keep you entertained with informative commentary throughout the tour.
FlexiPass
InterCity FlexiPass is an hours-based bus pass designed for independent travellers who want to experience the real New Zealand. Go where you want, when you want and see New Zealand your own way, travelling alongside Kiwis and visitors alike. FlexiPass also includes travel on the InterIslander ferry and travel on selected day tours to top locations.
TravelPass
Travelling around New Zealand by bus with an InterCity TravelPass is easy! It has a pre-planned itinerary that you can follow at your own pace. Choose from itineraries that take in the North Island, South Island or the whole of New Zealand. It's the perfect mix of flexibility and security - you can explore New Zealand in your own time, but you don't need to plan your route.

Accessibility:
Passengers must be able to board and disembark the bus without assistance from the driver. If somebody needs assistance on and off the bus the passenger must arrange for this assistance at pick-up and drop-off points.
