Terms and conditions for Auckland Convention Bureau’s (ACB) 2026 The Edinburgh Military Tattoo complimentary tickets competition.

By entering this competition, Entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions:

A. Competition and Entries 

1. This competition is being run by Tātaki Auckland Unlimited Limited (TAU).  The competition is open to anyone who has been invited by TAU to the Auckland Convention Bureau’s Partner Showcase in Christchurch, Wednesday 8 October 2025 (Christchurch Partner Showcase).   

2. Every eligible person who successfully: 

a. pre-registers to the Christchurch Partner Showcase on Wednesday 8 October 2025 via the registration form attached to electronic digital marketing emails, LinkedIn posts, personal email invitations, and via third party communications between 2pm, 1 September 2025 and 4pm, 8 October 2025 (Competition Period);

b. attend the Christchurch Partner Showcase; and  

c. opt in to receive TAU’s newsletter via email, 

will be entered into the prize draw. One entry per eligible person.  

3. Entrants who register before or after the Competition will not be considered in the draw.  

4. Entrants must ensure their details, including phone number and email address are correct.  

5. “Entrant” means the eligible person entering the competition.  

B. Prize, selection and prize draw 

6. The prize is a ticket to the The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo held at Eden Park in February 2026. There is one prize in total, consisting of two tickets. Flights, accommodation, and any other associated costs are not included in the prize and are the sole responsibility of the winner.  

7. One winner will be determined by a draw from all valid entries on Wednesday 8 October 2025 at Christchurch Partner Showcase. 

8. The winner will be announced in ACB’s LinkedIn using a first name and area of residence, e.g. Zach, Central Auckland.  Entrants consent to their name and area of residence being used for such purpose, without compensation.  

9. If the winner is not present at the Christchurch Partner Showcase, TAU will redraw a winner on the same terms as the original draw, for the relevant prize.  

10. TAU’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

C. Prize Terms 

11. The prize includes two tickets for the 2026 The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.  

12. The prizes are not redeemable for cash, not transferable to any other person, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.  

13. If any prize or part of a prize becomes unavailable for any reason, TAU reserves the right to change the prize acting reasonably. 

D. Privacy  

14. TAU may use entrants’ personal information from entries to conduct the competition and as contemplated by its privacy policy below.  Winners consent to participate and co-operate as reasonably required in all promotional activities relating to the competition, without compensation, and to having their personal information used for such purposes.  

15. All entries remain the property of TAU.  All personal information provided by the entrants will be collected, used, stored, disclosed and corrected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and TAU’s privacy policy which can be viewed here.  All entrants have the right to access their information and request for any personal information to be corrected.

E. Exclusions 

16. The following people are not eligible to win the prize: 

a. Anyone under the age of 16 at the time of entering the competition; or 

b. Anyone who works for Auckland Council or any of Auckland Council’s council-controlled organisations, their immediate family members or any agencies or companies associated with the competition.  

17. TAU reserves the right to verify the validity of entries.  TAU also reserves the right to exclude from the competition or refuse to award any prize to an entrant who is in breach of or who fails to comply with these terms and conditions, gained an unfair advantage in participating, or won a prize by using fraudulent means (including providing false or misleading details).  

18. TAU will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries, or transmission or receipt of any incorrect information associated with entries, including but limited to entries not received due to technical problems.  Without limiting any rights entrants may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, TAU will not be liable for any claims for loss, damage or injury whatsoever or for any physical or mental injury suffered by any entrant or competition winner as a result of, or in connection with, the competition or due to the prize won in the competition.  

19. TAU reserves the right to amend or change these terms and conditions at any time, acting reasonably, including amending, extending, postponing or cancelling the competition.  

20. To the extent that any matter relating to the competition is not covered by these terms and conditions, TAU reserves the right to conduct the competition as it reasonably sees fit, subject to any legal requirements.  

21. All decisions of TAU are final and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.  Failure by TAU to enforce any of its rights under these terms and conditions at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.  

22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
