Mexicali Fresh is ooo lala damn damn damn 10/10 no cap one of the best places in town for Mexican food. Always come here with friends or boyfriends or just anyone this is like my go to place to get food in town and the view is gorgeous on a nice sunny hot day! I always get the chicken quesadilla every time it's my absolute favourite nothing can beat it on god. Go right now GO! get your mexican sis because it's to die for. x
It's a nice spot to dine if you're looking for something a bit cheaper in that area. Ordered the longboard quesadilla which we enjoyed. Had a nice amount of filling inside and the meat wasn't too dried out. The chargrilled chicken nachos was not bad. Wouldn't have mind a bit more chicken if it wasn't overcooked and a bit on the dry side.
The original Mexicali, pretty quiet vs. days past. But so is the case for all these Auckland brands that have expanded dramatically. Had the barbacoa quesadilla and it was really fresh as usual, although a bit soggy. Side sauces delicious. Service was decent, only issue there were lots of birds flying around focused on a few un-bused tables. Regardless, is always consistently good, can't go wrong with the burritos here either.
