Harbourside Ocean Bar Grill Restaurant, Auckland CBD

Attended as a group of 5. Ordered 2 snappers, large seafood platter, venison, snapper tortellini and rib eye steak. The evening started really well with a very helpful/ pleasant waitress who made great recommendations. The evening slowly turned to chaos, with plates on two occasions smashed around us- albeit accidentally. Followed by a roof major leak with rain water falling onto our plates and beer. Unfortunately, staff were rushed needed to take their time to notice that the dining experience was being spoiled. Lack of attention to detail to notice rainwater spilled into beer mug, with reminders to change. Reminders required for glass of wine to be refilled. Reminders for glass of water. A half hearted apology was offered. With regards to the food- seafood was very good. Meats were acceptable but not exceptional. Overall, Harbourside was definitely tested with unexpected events happening.... unfortunately they werent able to rise to the occasion. Their lack of attention to detail and service was disappointing. For the price, I would have expected things to be better. A lot better.......

Everything is great, expect one of the chef who made the chips, it was the way tooo salty (even more salty than the KFC one, we came many times, that is the first time happens in this restaurant), however, they heard of our comments and cancelled the chips order for us. Oysters are pretty clean, satisfied with their very good and interesting service, the meal was lovely, worth money, happy to come again~

Harbourside ocean bar grill restaurant offers best crayfish was one of best that I ever had in my life. Food was sensational and service was top notch.
