Laid back casual dining; feels like eating in a school cafeteria. Friendly and supposedly a not for profit charitable restaurant. Had the char koay teow and seafood laksa. Good portions, tastes good and prices were okay around 12-14$ a dish. Fast service. 3.5 Yums

I heard about this place awhile back and finally found some time today to try it out. Seating was ample and spacious with decent lighting given there isn't much natural lighting available inside. In terms of the food, we ordered the Mamak Mee Goreng and the Char Kway Teow. For drinks, I ordered the Teh Tarik (cold). Both dishes were tasty and very similar to the dishes found at Mercury Plaza right by K road. The Teh Tarik felt very diluted however and didn't have the usual milky flavour like those found in PappaRich. Overall the quality of these dishes were satisfactory and would certainly come back here again for a simple lunch. Based on all the places that I have tried to date, Mamma Rich still does a better Char Kway Teow while PappaRich's Teh Tarik range and quality is far better, which is why I rated it at the indicated score. One thing worth noting about this place is that all profits goes towards the A21 Campaign which addresses issues like homelessness. That alone is enough reasons for me to continually support this place.

The restaurant is excellent. Good food, good price, and good customer-service with a smile. To me, this is yet the best restaurant to dine-in with friends after a long day at work.
