Housed in the space that was once home to Quay St Cafe, Oaken is quite different to its predecessor. Mouthful Restaurant Group (the people behind Auckland eateries Beirut and Mexico) have gone for a Scandinavian vibe with wood panelling, wooden furniture, and nature artwork to create a bright, airy space.

Very nice and underated. Hidden in open view. Prob better known to many office shirkers as just a convenient watering hole. Professional staff here and great coffee. Brilliant food selection. ....Way way different attitude to those eateries who proclaim that they are "passionate about (place food drink item here)" these people actually walk the walk.
