Lorne Street Cafe & Restaurant, Auckland CBD

I have to say Lorne street cafe is by far my fav cafe to go to! Always consistent with the food and great service, With every visit I'm always left impressed.

I popped up to the cafe the day before Good Friday. Because of the cyclone the cafe was pretty empty. It was my first experience here so I ordered Eggs Benedict since someone told me it would tell you all about a cafe. And OMG the dish was very impressive! Everything was cooked perfectly-- the English muffin and the hash brown were crispy, the sauce on top was creamy and yummy, and they put a decent amount of salmon to it! The egg yolk oozed out when I cut it. Very enjoyable meal and a nice start for a day! But to their regret, their water cup had an unpleasant smell. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Lorne st cafe is no1 in terms of food taste, presentation and price. Prawn pasta salad only $16 and perfectly cooked couldnt fault anything. Their steak and mushroom on toast were both so good.
